Happy Holidays to all those who have just finished the end of the school term!! We have been busy working on a new horsebox catering trailer ready for the holidays together with some new younger kids play activities in the neighbouring paddock as well as our play area, so look out for them opening next week!!! We continue to run our café offer mid week in the afternoons and there is a new covered outside eating area for those wanting to get out of the sun, so head to our Farm Shop..there’s plenty to entertain & taste!
Back on the farm, we are bang in the middle of the showing season with our horses and if you want to follow how we are getting on, keep up to date with our Facebook page! We are looking forward to the Derbyshire Shire Horse Association Show & Open Day on Sunday 4th August, where there will be lots of beautiful horses to see, displays, competitions, animal petting, stalls and much more – we hope to see you there.
One of the things we’ve been particularly pleased with recently, is the new strawberries and raspberries from New Farm Produce near Lichfield. We fetch these fresh from their polytunnels on a Thursday morning and they taste amazing – so glad we found them and I quite enjoy taking a bit of time out to travel there and pick them up!
In our Production Kitchen, we have been working hard on a new homemade cake range, so expect to see that range on sale in the coming weeks and we are also hard at work on our Christmas (sorry to mention the C word!) ranges too, ready for the big photo session at the beginning of September and our online shop launching early October – where is the time going this year???
