January seems to come around very fast again and obviously its been a bit of a rocky start with the café being closed for four days having a new kitchen floor fitted and then of course the very bad weather with snow and ice. Most of our troughs were frozen up, so not only has it been hard getting enough haylage out to the horses and the sheep, but also getting barrels and churns of water out for the animals to drink too.
Thanks must go to the amazing team who managed to get in to work despite the weather conditions and to all our wonderful customers who continued to support us for their Christmas orders and also for turning up in the recent bad weather conditions! We do really appreciate it. Dad also celebrated his 84th birthday early in January so we enjoyed a lovely family meal and we are all hoping he might take it a little easier this year!! Looking forward, our first foal is due mid February and we are due to start lambing on 16th March, so there are some busy weeks to come very soon! We recently scanned our ewes and found one was expecting 5, three were expecting 4 and seven are expecting triplets, so we will be very busy!!
In November we launched our new Croots Club, but we know that it hasn’t always been easy to verify your accounts and get some of the amazing offers the team have put together. I’d like to apologise for this and we are working with our App provider to rectify the problems as soon as possible. We are also working on early access to some of the events we are planning this year as well as three special events specifically for Croots Club members, so watch this space for more information coming soon.
In the shop and café, we are busy working on our Spring event offers and ranges – for Valentines, Mothers Day and Easter and working on new ranges for the Deli.. We will also be announcing dates for the events for the first six months very soon
Hope to see you in the shop this month!
