Croots are pleased to announce that we are going to be working alongside Robin of Shire Bushcraft, who will be delivering some Bushcraft sessions here at Croots Farm Shop. These will consist of small group events in the coming weeks / months, covering a range of topics such as traditional firelighting, greenwood carving, camp cooking, and learning about useful trees and plants.
Robin has been a student of the outdoors for over 20 years. He has journeyed and adventured across the country (as well as the wider world) studying and developing his skillset and has been teaching the subject of Bushcraft since 2016.
Robin has worked alongside Ray Mears on many of his courses, as well as other excellent instructors here in the UK. He has engaged with people of all ages, abilities and behaviours, from a variety of social backgrounds, inspiring them to enjoy and appreciate the forest and the outdoor environment. Robin also worked for The Forestry Commission as a Bushcraft Ranger for two years, where he taught bushcraft knowledge and traditional forest skills to a hugely diverse range of audiences.
Robin has also dedicated his time to mastering traditional English archery, which he became involved with in 2009. He now teaches and shoots all over the globe, sharing his passion and ability for heavy draw weight archery, for which he is worldly renowned.
